Debian 11 (Bullseye) Repository
Good evening, With the official release of Debian 11 (Bullseye) Stable occurring less than 48 hours ago, it would be nice to know of the timeline for which BIRD 2.0.8 will be added to the official Debian repository or a reputable third-party repository. Regards, Peter
FYI I think the official repo is the only repo these days ... Mr Surý has withdrawn his service. ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ Original Message ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ On Sunday, August 15th, 2021 at 11:32 PM, Peter Potvin <peter@peterpotvin.com> wrote:

"Totally false" is a bit extreme. There have been extensive discussions and questions as to why bird.network.cz was still referencing Mr Surý's repo/key (https://github.com/oerdnj/deb.sury.org/issues/1325). My original statement is correct in that last week he deleted his BIRD repo from https://packages.sury.org/ ... many people used to consider sury.org a "reputable third-party repository".

I specifically mentioned "bird2 in Debian": packages.sury.org is an unofficial repository.

Ondřej Surý the original Debian maintainer has agreed to pass the bird2 package maintenance to me but I haven't received rights so far. Regardless, I intend to maintain BIRD in Debian and I'm resuming my attempts for gaining control and updating BIRD to latest after the recent Debian 11 release. (I couldn't do much during the freeze) Cheers, Jakub Ružička CZ.NIC packager
