Kernel 4.0+ but we run also on 2.6.38. GCC or Clang with C11 support (will be needed for new versions). Use what you prefer, BIRD can be compiled and run almost everywhere including ARM. I'm using BIRD 2.0.x on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and CentOS 7 (both x86_64) from the EPEL 7 repository (package "bird2", of which I am also the package maintainer). Stock kernel, thus latest 3.10.0-x.y.z.el7. Regards, Robert
