Dear All, I am running BIRD 1.4.0 as a route server on Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS Server. I am planning OS upgrade to Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS server Is there any thing I should consider before doing this upgrade? BIRD 1.4.0 will continue to work in Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS ? Thanks, Regards, Janvier R.

Also why not use Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with either of these? See our presentations from 2019 here [1] which discuss running Bird as a route server using 18.04 LTS and v2.0.4 with RPKI and lots of other security elements.
