Hi,

I have many peer running, and up state remain without changing (in case if bird is dieing or restarted by init ) even those should be seen as flapped right. ? This looks more of config getting reloaded which is causing the the stateless peer disable to get activated .

I had disabled peers for a long time which remained enabled in the configuration file. So you should have something reloading configuration. Or may be your bird dies for some reason and is restarted by init system etc. On Tue, Jan 22, 2019 at 6:53 AM Mohandass, Roobesh wrote: > > Hi Team, > > > > We are using BIRD version 1.6.3 in ubuntu 18.04 LTS kernel 4.15.0-42-generic, use case below. > > > > I have disabled few bgp peer using ‘birdc disable ’ and after an hour or so, I just seen the peers are enabled back automatically, but I have not run ‘birdc enable ’. > > > > So thinking, was there anything that is reloading the bird configure at specific interval automatically or enabling the disabled peer automatically ? But just would like to check, why when we disable the peer from bird control socket , we observe this behavior. > > > > Thanks for your attention on this message. > > > > -Roobesh G M > > > >
