Hi. I'd like to ask what is the state of ipv6 in bird. I know it doesn't support OSPFv3 but last time I tried, ipv6 RIP didn't work either. Has something changed or do I have to use a different routing daemon for ipv6?
OSPFv3 implementation is near to finish. I hope it will be released before end of 2009.
I don't know about any changes to IPv6 RIP.
If i would need to do IPv6 routing with current BIRD, i would use eBGP - just assign one ASN (from private range) for each router and use AS path length as metric.
that sounds quite devious:) mk
