Hello,
we had problem with IPv6 prefixes exchanged from HP (or Huawei) router to linux router (BIRD) through IPv6 BGP RR (BIRD). And setting "missing lladdr ignore;" on the BGP RR on peer towards linux routers solved our problem. Otherwise the prefixes from HP/Huaweiu were not forwarded. And I didn't find how to configure HP/Huawei to fill lladdr in BGP updates.
This is case that would be OK as if we removed the option then we would left the behavior on 'ignore'. But it makes me to realize that the current default is 'drop' (for non-RS), so people who really need 'drop' instead of 'ignore' likely do not know about it. -- Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo Ondrej 'Santiago' Zajicek (email: santiago@crfreenet.org) OpenPGP encrypted e-mails preferred (KeyID 0x11DEADC3, wwwkeys.pgp.net) "To err is human -- to blame it on a computer is even more so."
