Hi, it would be great if you sent us the core, config and binary. We have couple more (Free)BSD issues reported to us lately and we going to investigate them in the coming days. Thanks for the report. Regards, David David Petera (he/him) | BIRD Tech Support | CZ.NIC, z.s.p.o. On 6/9/26 08:12, Lexi Winter wrote:
hello,
running BIRD 3.2.1 on OpenBSD/arm64 7.9, i changed the router-id in bird.conf, then ran 'birdc reload', and bird crashed:

after restarting bird, it appears to be working fine.
unfortunately, the generated core file does not seem to be very useful:
(lldb) thread list Process 0 stopped * thread #1: tid = 0, 0x00000011e2b302d4 libc.so.103.0`_thread_sys_setsockopt at -:3, stop reason = signal SIGABRT (lldb) bt * thread #1, stop reason = signal SIGABRT * frame #0: 0x00000011e2b302d4 libc.so.103.0`_thread_sys_setsockopt at -:3 frame #1: 0x0000000d19648050 bird`sk_join_group at sysio.h:101:7 (lldb)
i can provide the bird executable and core file privately if that's any use.
