The ends of parallel lines or waves may act like the points of an hourglass. Similarly, the points of an hourglass may act as though they were the ends of parallel lines:
The points of a diamond may act like the ends of a line, or vice versa. The centers of a diamond may act like the centers of a line, or vice versa:
Note that they only talk about a single Diamond, not Twin Diamonds, but we can generalize this. It should not be controversial that the points of Twin Diamonds, Points of an Hourglass, and ends of Lines are all isomorphic.
But those spots are also isomorphic to 1/4 Tag footprints, which are clearly the Centers of the Outside Triple Lines. See the discussion in the Sd documentation:
Matrix Calls in 1/4 Tags
The program believes that, in 1/4 tags and diamonds, the outsides are not located in really precise positions. There is a good reason for this--there are real problems with the positioning in 1/4 tags.
Because of this, matrix ("space invader") calls, like `press' and `truck', are not permitted. You can override this prohibition by using the 3x4 matrix concept. So, for example, after `heads pass the ocean', you could enter 3x4 matrix side girls truck, obtaining Z's. You may or may not need to say anything to the dancers to persuade them to get the effect you want.
You may also use concepts like `triple lines' when in a 1/4 tag. The program (and presumably the dancers also) will place the outsides in the center of the outer triple lines.
For some calls, the `12 matrix' concept will also be helpful.
Cesky vycuc: je ustalena konvence (uzus), ze se neresi presna fyzicka pozice points ve formaci paraleldiamonds/QTag, jelikoz se tyto formace pokladaji za isomorfni. Proto se nesmi pouzivat z teto formace zadne cally, ktere by znalost te presne pozice koncovych tanecniku potrebovaly. Tedy napr.
