RIP quiet mode?

Hi All, I'm using Bird v1.0.4 and trying to setup RIP to accept RIP routes but not broadcast any routes on a specific interface, in the following example eth0. I realize I could configure an export filter to block broadcasting all RIP routes but I'd like the capability to block broadcasting based on specific interfaces. The problem is that in "quiet" mode bird doesn't seem to accept routes, when I check the list of routes with route -n. Other modes like broadcast and nolisten work fine. Following is a copy of my bird.conf file. Thanks! compile with glibc2.2

RIP na vice interfaces

Zdravim, nazaril jsem na nasl. problem. Mam BIRDa na routeru, kde jsou tri interface, eth0 (WaveLAN), eth1, eth2 (3c509). Potrebuju, aby mi RIP chodil na vsech interface, ale nechodi. Prijima data jen z eth0, vysila na vsechny. failover nat

hi, we are trying to set up a failover nat. we have a machine with 3 nics - one for local net, eth1 for T1 and eth2 for dsl. what we are trying to acomplish, is when T1 link goes down, the kernel routing table gets updated so that dsl becomes the default gw, and once dsl goes under, T1 takes its place (it its up). ip masquerading and local network are set up and functioning, but the failover mechanism isnt working. another thing i would like to clarify, is: do i have to make any changes to the routing table myself, such as adding default routes by hand, or should bird take care of that completely by it self? we use linux redhat 6.2 on x86 machine, kernel 2.2.19 and the latest version of zebra. thanks so much for any help. max __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Where is the newest source?

Where can I get the newest copy of the source to BIRD? I see patches were sent in 3/2001, but the latest I find on bird.network.cz is 12/2000. Thanks, Ralph.

When I killed the second one, I could not connect to /var/bird.ctl. It is PIII/600, 128MB RAM. some strange messages: MyOSPF: LS ack sent to 147.251.61.1 (delayed) shows every max. 20 sec. 147.251.61.0/30 is P-t-P link. I have got BIRD 1.0.4 with OSPF area patch. Please, release 1.0.5 as soon as possible.
