Hello, I'm a bit annoyed because my ipv6 tunnel (via sixxs) is unreliable from time to time and I wonder if bird can help me to at least stop sending out radv packets to my local machines if the tunnel is not working[1]. (Or maybe send packets, but with a zero lifetime.) I read about filters now and also spend some time googling, but still I don't see if/how this could be possible. Does someone of you has a nice idea or a link to an example that could help me? Best regards Uwe [1] for some definition of "not working"

Change bgp_med and "soft reload"

Hi, I am evaluating use of BIRD on my network. In my environment I need to change the bgp_med parameter without causing major impact on established BGP sessions. But the changes in parameter bgp_med only take effect after a "bird restart service". Using bird as BGP source db

HI I would like to integrate our sflow/netflow collector with bird. Collector will be fetching information from bird about as-path of queried prefixes. Both - collector and bird will be on same Linux machine. Bird will have one bgp session to our router. Router will send to bird our full bgp table. How I can done this easily ? Best if it's done over SHM / IPC / NET. Rob

Announce prefix to BGP conditional

Hi Is it possible to announce additional prefix in BGP (let's say inject it) conditional ? My configuration is 3 BGP sessions: 1st BGP session to ISP 2nd and 3rd BGP sessions to customers I would like to announce default-route (0.0.0.0/0) via BGP only if I receiving let's say defined 2 prefixes from my ISP. Is it possible at BIRD ? How I can do this ? My ISP will NOT announce default route to me, so I cannot simply re-announce it to my neighbors. Rob

Hallo, ist there any way to implement BGP and Redistibute Static with AS-Prepend. I would like to implement following configuration: -------- protocol static { route 2.2.2.2/32 via 10.1.2.1; } protocol bgp test { local as 65501; neighbor 10.2.3.3 as 65501; export filter { if ( source = RTS_STATIC && net = 2.2.2.2/32 ) then { bgp_path.prepend(65502); accept; }; }; }; --------- On the other router i got following: R2#sh ip bgp . Network Next Hop Metric LocPrf Weight Path *> 2.2.2.2/32 10.2.2.2 0 65502 65501 ? I want this (65501 65502) not (65502 65501). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
