Hello, I would like to implement IS-IS as a part of my master thesis. Are there any apparent problems which would prevent successful implementation, political and/or technical? Also I would like to hear opinions of the authors. Implementation timeframe is 2013 (if we live past 21th). Just want to add to this thread that I'm seeing this behavior on BIRD as well, I'm seeing this on all the machines that I've installed. From the timer, it appeared to happened every 5 seconds.... root@sje17:~# birdc -v 0001 BIRD 1.3.4 ready. BGP syslog

Hi guys, Can I confirm with you guys that syslog is only logging the event for BGP Notification errors only? I mean, it does not log the BGP session up and down event? Thanks in advance! Cheers, Jimmy

[RFE] Include several files

[ Posting again from my subscribed address, looks like it didn't get through the first time. ] Hello, If I'm not mistaken, the global option "include" can only include one file at a time. Would it be possible to make it include a glob, or maybe the contents of a whole directory? Something like "include mydir/*.conf" would be invaluable for managing BIRD with tools like Puppet. BIRD - memory usage - question

Hello, In the documentation it is stated, that pair sets defined like this [(1..100,123)] are in fact translated to [(1,123),(2,123),(3,123),...,(100,123)] and hence there is an considerably increased memory footprint. Is this also true if the right member of the pair is defined as a range or as *: [(123,*)] =?= [(123,0),(123,1),(123,2),...,(123,65535)] Should I consider an eventual intensive memory usage in both cases? bgp_path multiple AS match on single rule

Hello, I'm wondering, is there any way to configure following example to single rule only. if bgp_path ~ [= * 100 * =] then return false; if bgp_path ~ [= * 200 * =] then return false; if bgp_path ~ [= * 300 * =] then return false; if bgp_path ~ [= * 400 * =] then return false; On this way, If we want to filter many ASs, it seems that we should generate too much rows. On Cisco we can implement it like following example: AS path access list 85 deny _(100|200|300|400)_ permit .* Thanks in advance! Disable BGP peer after exceeding route-limit

Hi. Is there a way to disable BGP neighbor when it exceeds route-limit? According to BIRD documentation the only way is to set 'disable after error' switch on, but in this case every error will disable neighbor, even not harmful one.

Hi I tried to compile BIRD using musl libc, but it failed with a preprocessor message, that sys/fcntl.h was not found.
