SIGSEGV when using multiple kernel protocols

using BIRD version 1.0.12 (1.0.12-1~bpo40+1 provided by bird.network.cz) or 10.0.11 (debian stable) i cannot use multiple kernel protocols. However configuration works fine with other protocols. show route protocol <name>

Ahoj, chtel bych si ujasnit jednu vec. Podle helpu by melo fungovat toto (XXX jmeno instance protokolu): show route protocol XXX coz ale haze syntax error. Existuji pouze show route import XXX - to je dle helpu a show route preimport XXX - o tomhle nikde nemluvime, ale funguje to Kazdopadne chybi zpusob jak vypsat routy urciteho protokolu podle jeho jmena. A nebylo by na skodu to mit nejen v CLI ale i ve filterech, coz by nemel byt velky problem. Vidim to spravne nebo se pletu?

A new repository

Fix for routing table breaking bug

Hello Here is a patch fixing a bug that causes breakage of a local routing table during shutdown of Bird. The problem was caused by shutdown of 'device' protocol before shutdown of 'kernel' protocol. When 'device' protocol went down, the route (with local network prefix) from different protocol (BGP or OSPF) became preferred and installed to the kernel routing table. Such routes were broken (like 192.168.1.0/24 via 192.168.1.2). I think it is also the cause of problem reported by Martin Kraus. The patch disables updating of kernel routing table during shutdown of Bird. I am not sure whether this is the best way to fix it, I would prefer to forbid 'kernel' protocol to overwrite routes with 'proto kernel'. Hello Here are some more patches for bird: 4-as4_option.diff - Add per-bgp_instance option to disable as4 support. 5-add_doc.diff - Update of documentation. 6-fix-lpref.diff - Fix LOCAL_PREF handling. - Isn't 'default bgp_local_pref' configuration option useless? Every route has some LOCAL_PREF attribute. 7-fix-med.diff - Fix MED handling. Support for BGP route reflection.

Hello Here is a patch adding support for BGP route reflection. Bird can be configured to be route reflector using 'rr client' in bgp protocol section. The protocol bgp { local as 1; neighbor 192.168.1.4 as 1; rr client; } I don't like it as it looks like the local bird is rr client of neighbor but it really means that the neighbor is rr client of the local bird. Any ideas? ipv6 rip doesn't recieve route updates from neighbors

hi. I've had this problem for some time. I've tried to get ipv6 working with bird. I'm fairly certain there are no problems with multicasting in my setup. When I set two birds against each other they are sending correct rip packets to the other bird, I can hear those packets come to the interface but for some reason they do not get to bird or the rip protocol doesn't import them into the routing table. did anyone actually get bird working with ipv6? thanks mk -- printk(KERN_WARNING "Hey who turned the DMA off?\n"); linux-2.6.6/drivers/net/wan/z85230.c
