Pipe collision detected when sending to table

Dear List and Bird-Pros, Today we changed our RS config to an additional "Collector" table. We see this "<ERR>" in our logs: 2010-09-22 11:02:02 <ERR> Pipe collision detected when sending W.X.Y.Z/24 to table Collector This is seen for a couple of prefixes. Any hint what we might have messed up? Hi all, is it a bug or a feature, that BIRDs configuration sanity check (bird -p) does not blame about multiple filter definition with the same name? Support for 'show bgp summary'-like command

Hello, When making a looking glass for bird I met a lack of summary-like command for bgp. Attached patch adds 'show bgp summary' command to CLI of birdc. It produces output that looks like Juniper/Cisco-style output. Example: BIRD 1.2.4 ready. bird> show bgp summary Peer AS Last state change Prefixes rcvd/best State/Last error 193.25.x.x 13249 21:11 0/0 Passive 193.25.x.x 20850 21:11 0/0 Passive 193.25.x.x 21011 21:11 0/0 Passive 193.25.x.x 25372 21:12 3/3 Established 193.25.x.x 28097 21:11 0/0 Passive 193.25.x.x 35320 21:11 0/0 Passive 193.25.x.x 42546 21:11 1/1 Passive Socket: Connection closed My integration of command in nest/config.Y is quite dumb but it works. If such command is essential for the users then a bird team may integrate it in more accurate and right way. Patch is applied to version 1.2.4. It has been tested on FreeBSD 7.2. -- MINO-RIPE

Bird as route server and bgp comunities

Stupid question:) Who set up a bird Route server with support for bgp community (a la MSK-IX, SPB-IX)? Be able to share pieces of the config for example. tried to do as in the examples mentioned # Bgp cummunity function bgp_out (int peeras) ( if! I have only one set up for test but it did not work: (the user gives us 0:8861 , but still prefixes are announced to all participants Route server

Deleting communities from outgoing prefixes

Hello, I want to store prefixes in RIB with communities but I want to delete communities when prefix is being announced to peer. I'm trying following function: function bgp_out (int peer_as) { if ! (source = RTS_BGP ) then return false; if (0,MyASN) ~ bgp_community then return false; if (0,peer_as) ~ bgp_community then return false; if ( (MyASN,MyASN) ~ bgp_community ) || ( (MyASN,peer_as) ~ bgp_community ) then { bgp_community.delete([ (0,0)..(65535,65535) ]); print bgp_community; return true; } return false; } But communities are not deleted, I see them in debug output. bgp_community.add works as expected. Each of the OSPF routers has a default route and two unreachable routes (ip r a ... proto static), that were tried to be overwritten by BIRD, because BIRD liked the same route via OSPF better. From what I read in ip(8) (search for "rt_protos") the correct behaviour would be: * On start up purge all routes with protocol boot * Respect routes with protocol static and give them higher precedence than dynamic routes. Routes with protocol kernel seem to be handled by the direct protocol. Perhaps it's using the addresses on the interfaces instead.
