scan time of protocol kernel

Hi, Now 'scan time' set to 60 sec. The bird load system up to 100% during 10-12 sec every 60 sec. What circumstances to take into consideration that it is correct to set 'scan time' of protocol kernel? If I do not add paths with linux the console, whether I can delete 'scan time' from the protocol kernel? Vladislav Grishin

bird6 spontaneous crash

Hello, in our testing environment I experienced two strange spontaneous crashes with bird6 1.2.3, running on debian 5.0.5 (amd64). The binary is from build-ipv6 directory of a debian build and with symbols (unstripped). I've got here: bird6-binary, two coredumps, loglines, logfiles and the config. May I ask for somebody of the developers team to take a look at those files? I have of two bird (bird1 and bird2 ) and two Cisco devices (cisco1 and cisco2). I have decided to confirue OSPF MD5 authentification. Whether are compatible Cisco IOS and BIRD at usage OSPF MD5 of authentification? ospf netmask mismatch

Hi. I have bird 1.2.2 running on debian lenny on two routers connected by a nonbroadcast configuration. first router has 212.71.191.77/30 on its interface, the second 212.71.191.78/30. They can't negotiate ospf and I get this in the log: bird: OSPF: Bad HELLO packet from 212.71.191.77 - netmask mismatch (255.255.255.128) both routers have additional private prefixes from /25 on their interfaces. Is there a problem with such a setup? it works fine on older birds in the rest of the network. thanks for any pointers mk

Delay after interrupt output

BGP protocol receive full view. If during review of the table of routing by ' show route ' command to interrupt output having pressed a key ' q ', bird long thinks. I wait for appearance ' bird> ' approximately 7 seconds. Such delay on Cisco routers is not present. With such delay it is very inconvenient to work with birdc. BGP Error: No listening socket

Hi! I have been forced to change customisations of network interfaces on a server with bird. After modification bird.conf I has checked up availability of BGP neighbors. Everything is all right. ping ok. telnet <ip of bgp neighbor> 179 - ok. device routes switch in kernel protocol doesn't work

Hi all, I'm trying to propagate my local routes from main table to another kernel table with bird. I need it to use policy base routing. Routes are in bird table but they doesn't propagate with kernel protocol. I've found in manual "device routes switch" but it doesn't work. birdc after configure command writes parse error. I use bird-1.2.3 on debian etch.
